School Donations

Each year the Board of Trustees writes to parents outlining the need for Paparangi School to ask our parents for a donation. Despite our growing school roll and the increased funding that this growth provides, there is still a shortfall between the funding provided by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the budget required for running our school. We are awaiting notification from the MOE about new proposed funding arrangements for school donations in line with the government’s election promise about school fees and donations but in the meantime here is information about donation requests for 2018.

Paparangi School is governed by a democratically elected group of people called the Board of Trustees. These trustees make important decisions about our school’s strategic direction, student progress, management, school culture and more. The Paparangi School Board of Trustees meets twice a term. The next Board meeting will be held on 19 February 2018 at 6pm.

Paparangi School’s 50th Anniversary

We will be celebrating the 50th year of Paparangi School at Queen’s Birthday weekend 2018. Events will take place from Friday 1 – Sunday 3 June. If you would like to be part of the organising committee or know someone who does, a notice about the next meeting will be advised shortly. Past and present families or friends of the school from the last 49 years are warmly invited to come along and join in. If you think you can help or would like to get involved please email reunion@paparangi.school.nz or leave a message at the office.

Special events like these need contributions from everyone!
