My room

Paparangi School is grouped into three broad syndicates corresponding to the physical layout of our classrooms. Our new entrants and junior children are in Rakau-iti; the middle year children are currently classed in our recently refurbished Uenuku or ‘rainbow’ modern learning environment. Our senior children are in the Rakau-nui syndicate.

Below is a brief summary of what each syndicate is up to and there are links to each classroom with their own specific information.

This is our junior syndicate led by Associate Principal Ilona Szakats. Ilona with her team of Liz, Loreece, Jane and Sarah teach Paparangi’s new entrants as well as years one and two.

The Uenuku syndicate is comprised of our year three and four students and they are situated in Paparangi’s recently refurbished Modern Learning Environment (MLE). The syndicate is led by Deputy Principal Clare Adams. Sam Diggins and Eddie Martin make up the teaching staff in Uenuku.

This syndicate is comprised of our senior children in years five and six. Jenni Harrison and Wendy Blue are rakau-nui’s teachers.

Paparangi School is required by law to record the attendance of our students and to take all reasonable steps to ensure that all of our students are present at school. If you child is going to be absent we would appreciate being advised. You can either ring the school office on (04) 478 6617 choose Option 2 and leave a voice message or you can complete our absence form located here
